Church
McConnellstown United Methodist Church is
home to many active groups and classes, including: The Good Samaritan
Sunday School Class for persons aged 55 and older; the Seekers Class; the
Friendship Class for older adults, as well as classes for all ages of
children.
The church hosts quarterly puppet
programs,
holds monthly worship services with an emphasis on youth and young adults, and
is home to United Methodist women's and men's groups.
McConnellstown UMC is also active in the
community, both in the neighborhood and across the country. The church
provides financial gifts to local organizations, jointly hosts the annual
community vacation Bible school; participates in Meals on Wheels; holds a
yearly dinner for all community seniors; and is home of the Mactown Action
Attraction Zone for grades K - 6.
Worship services are a blend of tradition and
contemporary music.
